Promoting the visibility of ASEAN GIs

This activity is aimed at promoting the visibility of ASEAN GIs.

To that effect, the project contributes to develop promotional material such as brochures, guides, videos, on ASEAN GIs and to organize the exhibition of ASEAN GI products in the ASEAN region in cooperation with interested AMSs.  The project also contributes to disseminating information on ASEAN GIs through the ASEAN IP Portal.  These activities are tentatively planned for 2013 and 2014.

2013

While the Exhibition, that took place at the Centara Grand Hotel in Bangkok, was not open to the general public, the high number of international participants attending the Worldwide Symposium ensured the objective of promoting the visibility of ASEAN GIs.

Products from Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Malaysia, the Philippines and Vietnam were exhibited with the financial support provided by the project. GI experts from the Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar and Singapore were also sponsored to attend the information-sharing sessions that took place during the event.
