Assistance in ?Committee of Three? Work

Based on the Philippine IPO?s request for assistance regarding the work of the so-called ?Committee of Three?, four Philippine examiners attended a seminar for new examiners of non-member states patent offices/assistance at the EPO International Academy in Berlin on 17-26 September, 2001.During the course, they learned about the basic principles behind patent examination with emphasis on the EPO system regarding three-man divisions for treatment of patent applications.
