IPR Enforcement Conference

In line with one of the main ECAP objectives of strengthening IPR enforcement, ECAP invited four representatives from the Philippines active in enforcement to take part in the regional IP Week in Hanoi organized by the French government. These officials joined a conference on "the Future of Intellectual Property in Asia," which focused on globalization, international reinforcement of IP, specific features of national legislations and their implementation, practical improvements to IPR enforcement. Another highlight was an Asia-Europe seminar which explored critical issues including counterfeiting situation in ASEM countries, IPR enforcement in Asia and Europe, and right holders' perspective.
