Study Visit in Europe on Geographical Indications - 24-28 May 2004
With recent promulgation of the Geographical Indications Act in Thailand, ECAP II is organizing a visit to Europe for a group of Thai officials to study how the GI system is being implemented and administered. The delegation comprises one judge from the Central Intellectual Property and International Trade Court, one judge from the Supreme Court, two officials from the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Industry, as well as three officials from the Department of Intellectual Property.
Seminar on Contract Law for Creators - Bangkok, 26-28 May 2004
The activity aims to show Thai artists and legislators more effective ways to negotiate their contracts with distribution companies. Participants will learn about the European approach in protecting authors and performers rights by specific contract law. Topics to be addressed during this three-day seminar will include copyright piracy by Internet Service Providers.
